|Jimmy Sanders Mobley, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, Georgia. He was born October 20, 1943 in Walton County to Henry and LaRue (Conner) Mobley. Jimmy lived most of his life in Walton County and was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church. He was retired from Kraft Foods where he spent 28 years of service. Since 2005, he had resided at Mulberry Grove Retirement Home in Statham, Georgia where he was lovingly referred to as the Mayor of Mulberry. |
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Frances Charlene (Brown) Mobley; brothers Maylon, Gene, and Tommy Mobley; and sisters Betty Sue Braswell and Agnes Huff.
He is survived by his sons Chris (Donna), Steve (Tatyana), and Terry (Jennifer) Mobley; grandchildren Stephanie, Christopher, Clay, Haley and Peyton Mobley and Logan Raymond; sisters Emma Murphy, Jackie Kirkland, Joyce (Jerry) McElhannon, and Brenda (Mickey) Hammond; brothers-in-law Luke Huff, Harold Braswell, Bobby (Judy), Wayne (Denise), Glenn (Tracey), and Jeff (Melissa) Brown; Sisters-in-law Naomi Watford and Carolyn Mobley; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 1, at Harmony Baptist Church with the reverends Brant Calloway and Gary Scroggs officiating.
