|Bobby Ray Lemonds of Social Circle, Georgia passed away on July 17, 2018 at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dewey and Mary Lou Lemonds and one sister, Thelma Davis. |
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Linda Hester Lemonds; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Sharon Lemonds; two daughters Kathy (Dwayne) Farmer and Tammy (Tim) Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Reid (Emily) Farmer, Austin Farmer, Victoria Hutchinson and Evan Hutchinson; one great-grandchild, Ryan Parks Farmer (his little buddy). Also, one nephew, Parks (Brenda) Davis and family and one niece, Suzie (Joe) Hudson and family.
Many of his friends and neighbors knew him as "Mr. Fix It" since he could repair or "rig"most things. He loved the simple things in life. One of his favorite things to do was to ride around the back roads in his old truck and dropping off vegetables or watermelons to friends and neighbors. Anyone who knew Bobby will tell you that he had a way of speaking exactly what was on his mind, and he was usually right. Bobby's work ethic taught others the importance and value of putting in an honest day's work.
Bobby "Mayor of Lemonds Road" will be dearly missed but will always hold a place in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A funeral service will be held on July 19, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Don Malcom officiating. Interment will follow to Social Circle City Cemetery.
