OBITUARY

Christopher David Sherlock passed away on July 12, 2025.  Chris was born on November 20, 1961 to the parents of Vida Tanner (Sherlock) Broach and the late George Lehmann Sherlock. 

Surviving members of the family are; mother and loving care giver, Vida Broach; step-father, Pat Broach; uncles and aunts, Robert and Jenny Tanner, Myrt and Annie Broach; cousins, Susan and Michael Trigg, Emily and Chris Bailey, Chip and Carole Radford, Mary Radford, Janet and Lars Bergerson; special cousins, Bruce and Betsy Broach; special friend and physician, Dr. James Hamilton; along with many other cousins and friends.

Chris received his Bachelors of Business degree from the University of Georgia.  He went on to build a career at the USDA Richard Russell Research Center in Athens, GA.  After retiring, Chris spent four years working from home with Southern Consulting. 

He was cheerful, witty, loving, and intelligent.  As a longtime member of St Alban's Episcopal Church in Monroe, Chris wrote the church news for the Walton Tribune for many years.  In spite of Chris’ physical disabilities due to Spina Bifida, he lived a beneficial and courageous life.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 am on the grounds of Resthaven Cemetery in Monroe, GA with Father Rich from St Alban’s officiating.
