OBITUARY

William Russell Bailey, age 79 of Monroe, passed away on September 1, 2025.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 14, 1946 to the late William Bryant Bailey and the late Inez Josey Bailey.  He was preceded in death by his brother, the late Malcolm (Mac) Bailey.

Surviving are wife, Pat Brooks Bailey; sons and daughters in law, Steve and Cari Bailey, Andy and Lori Mealor; daughter and son in law, Amy and Brian O’Keefe; grandchildren, Will Bailey, Sarah Kate Bailey, Henry Bailey, Lillie Mealor, Lola Mealor, and Patrick O’Keefe.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 6th at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Monroe with the Dr. Todd Ware officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday September 5th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Meadows Funeral Home, and there will be another visitation on Saturday September 6th from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the First Baptist Church Monroe Fellowship Hall.  Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
