Preceding Douglas in death is his wife of 38 years, Patricia Dobish Brooks; first wife, Charlotte Prather Brooks; daughter, Donna Lynn Brooks; sister, Juanita Edmonson and son-in-law, Scott Bell.

Douglas leaves behind his daughter, Kim Bell; sons, Allen Ferguson (Betty), Chris Ferguson (Heather); brother, Bob Brooks (Peg); grandchildren, Jonathan Bell (Gennifer), Ashlynn Carver (Tyler), Nicole Bass (Brad),
Andy Adams (Amanda), Kelly Bryan (Chris), Kacey Wommack; great grandchildren, Lincoln Bell, Henley Bell, Mayley Bell, Susie Carver and Sara Bryan; a host of dearly loved extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
