OBITUARY

Cathy Lanell Simmons, age 67, of Covington passed away on December 30. 2025. She was born on November 23, 1958 to the late Amos Hunt and the late Faye Barfield Hunt. 

Surviving are daughters: Mandy Massengale (Shawn), Molly Bailey (Chuck); sister: Elaine Phelps (Joe); grandchildren: Baileigh McCullough (Jake), Braeden Massengale, Jackson Bailey. 

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Meadows Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Peters officiating. Interment will be at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
