OBITUARY

Jacquelyn Faye Dire Witcher, age 86 of Monroe, passed away on January 7, 2026.  She was born on December 15, 1939 in Conyers, GA to the late James William Dire and the late Susie Ivey Dire. She was preceded in death by her sisters, the late Evelyn Byrd, the late Carol Byrd, the late Joyce Doggett, and the late June Needham; her brothers, the late Ed Dire, the late Sunny Dire, the late Junior Dire, the late Jerry Dire, the late Grady Dire, and the late Tony Dire.

Surviving are husband, Larry Witcher; daughter, Allison Davis (Jimmy); son, Jeff Witcher (Kristy); sisters, Joanne Reed and Alice Hogan; brother, Jimmy Dire; grandchildren, Leanne Cruz, Nathan Witcher, Rebekah Vardaman, Wesley Davis, Jordan Davis, Kaitlyn McDaniel; great grandchildren, Jolie Cruz, Luelle Cruz, Emma Witcher, Jaxson Witcher, Ella Witcher, Hudson Witcher, Brooks Witcher, Knox Witcher.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 9th at Meadows Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 10th at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. James Davis and Jeff Witcher officiating.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.  Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
