Ernie Ray Greene, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was born in Brush Creek, TN to the late Audrey Adell Greene and Thomas Joseph "Bud" Greene. He moved his family to Georgia in 1975, where he lived out the rest of his days. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Martha Sue Greene, whom he loved deeply, and his siblings, Dorris Bell, Lynne Harrison, and Kenneth Greene. 

Ernie is survived by his sons, Keith Greene (Tammy) and Michael Greene (Staci). He is also survived by his brothers, Ronnie Greene (Verla) and Wayne Greene (Linda). He was a proud grandfather to Ashley Stoltz (Sid), Shaneal Greene, Kevin Greene, Brianna Branson (William), and Tanner Greene. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy. 

Ernie will be remembered as a devoted family man, who loved God and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had a kind and gentle soul and his legacy lives on through the many generations he helped shape. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
