OBITUARY
Robert Terrell Collins. 89 years of age, of Eatonton. GA (formerly of Monroe and Toccoa) passed away March 8, 2026 at his home on Lake Sinclair- surrounded by family. Robert was born in Toccoa Georgia on December 12, 1936 to the late Roy Lee Collins and the late Lucille Simmons Collins. He was preceded in death by his first wife- the late Alice Jones Collins, and his second wife- the late Pearle Carter Collins, his parents, and his brother the late Lamar R. Collins.
Robert graduated from Toccoa High School in 1955 and began working at General Telephone Company (GTE). He retired from GTE in 1992. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening, and watching hummingbirds. He enjoyed anything related to lake life-- boating, swimming, water skiing, and spending time with his family and dear friends. He also enjoyed playing his many musical instruments.Surviving members of Mr. Collins’ family are his daughters – Julie Collins and Allyson Aull (Larry); step-daughter Glenda Stidham; grandchildren Suzanne Culp (Michael); Alex Aull; step-grandson Ben Stidham (Megan), great granddaughter Charlotte Culp; great grandsons Carter Stidham and Brooks Stidham; niece Connie Collins Garrett (Rodney); great nieces Moriah Zierten and Mariam Reese; and great nephew Michael Collins; and many dear friends.A visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home on March 13, 2026 from 1200pm – 1:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on the same day at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Pastor Cristy Greenwald officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.Pallbearers: Larry Aull, Alex Aull, Michael Culp, David Culp, Ben StidhamMeadows Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
