OBITUARY
Vera Ann Windsor “Granny Reba” of Loganville passed away on April 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 21, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late William Jasper Windsor and Frances Jacobs Windsor.
At an early age, Vera moved with her family to Loganville, where she was raised and completed her education. During her school years, she proudly served as cheerleading captain. After graduation, she married and began raising her family.
Vera was known for her strong work ethic and excellence in everything she pursued. She enjoyed a successful career as a life insurance agent with Liberty National. Later in life, she discovered her true calling in caregiving, dedicating herself to caring for the elderly. She worked with Vistacare until its closure and then continued serving others independently, touching countless lives with her compassion and kindness.
A lifelong member of Sharon Baptist Church, Vera was a familiar and beloved presence in the Loganville community. She never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly described her as the “perfect Granny.” She was a grandmother not only to her own, but to many.
Vera was known for her warm hospitality. Her home was always open to family and friends, where nieces and nephews could stop by for her homemade chocolate peanut butter oatmeal cookies or her famous banana pudding. She found great peace and happiness in her flower gardens, where she spent countless hours tending to her plants and visiting with neighbors.
Vera will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Windsor of Monroe; her daughter, Kearie Barnes of Loganville; her son, Steve Williams (Crystal) of Loganville; her grandchildren, Destiny Feiler, Tony Eason Jr., Waymon Scott Tullis Jr. (Hope), Blaine Williams (Amanda), Brent Williams, and Bristol Williams and many great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home, with Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Loganville, Georgia.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
