OBITUARY

Clay Peppers passed away on April 18, 2026 peacefully surrounded by his family. Mr. Peppers was born on July 20, 1963 to Tom Peppers and Peggy Peppers. He was a loving husband, father, granddad, and friend.

Clay was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Peppers and grandson, Logan Arrington. 

He was a decorated Marine who loved to hunt and fish when he had some spare time. These last few years saw Clay use his talents to work for the Lord and spend as much time with this family and friends as possible. 

Surviving family members are, his loving wife of 30-plus years, Lisa Peppers; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Jamie Thomas; daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Chad Gunter, Kathy and Craig Arrington, Tina Peppers; father, Tom Peppers; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Alan Ball; grandchildren, Deana, Jesse, Hunter, JT, Cameron, McKinnley; various aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at East Newton Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 2:00 pm. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The Rev. Danny Sorrells will be officiating. 

The family would like to thank Abbey Hospice for everything they did during his final days. Their care to Clay and his family were genuine and excellent.
