To the family, I want to thank you all for sharing Mr. Gene with my boys, Jeremiah, Jacob, Jojo, Joshua, and James for so many years. To have Mrs. Mary Anne and Mr. Gene right next door while I raised 5 boys was a treasure. My boys always looked up to Mr. Gene. He was so much more than a neighbor. He was a mentor and a friend who became family. My heart hurts for such a great loss in our community, but I am so thankful Mr. Gene is now with Jesus. Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time of great loss. We love you all!

One of the most Sweetest men I knew in my life was Uncle Gene
He had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up the room. Not only was he a Husband, a Father and the *Sweetest Uncle* he was also a Mentor and Lifesaver for many Children and Adults. He had a gift that he was given to help Others,his Church and Community.*Plus he made a great *Banana Pudding Pie.*. As a child, I admired and looked up to him. His laugh and bright shining blue eyes made you feel safe and secure. He will be truly missed by so many and I know that his Special Soul has met his Maker and His Loved Ones....
