|Alice (Zillman) Chapin, age 95, died on August 23, 2021. Alice was born in Batavia, New York to William and Viola Schultz Zillman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Norman Chapin; two sisters, Shirley Kingdon and Leora Reinhart. |
Survivors include four daughters; Vicki (Scott) Nesbitt of Cleveland, GA; Gale (Philip) Fields of Siloam Springs, AR; Mary Jo Madray of Winder, GA; April (Don) Tugman of Loganville, GA; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo and taught in Jamesville Dewitt Schools near Syracuse. Alice and her husband Norman served for 23 years on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, Military Ministry. She was the author of more than 15 books including the best-selling 400 WAYS TO SAY I LOVE YOU. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winder, GA.
A private burial service will be held in Second Milo, New York cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Winder First Baptist Church Building Fund.
