Obituary
Christopher James Bellew, age 38, passed away on April 17, 2022 at his home in Bethlehem, Ga. He was born on July 29, 1983 in Dayton, Ohio to Laurie Ann Shackleford Bellew and Billy Dean Bellew. He was the oldest of three children. His mother is from Bozeman, MT and his father from Tucker, GA.

Christopher grew up in Lawrenceville, GA where he attended Dacula Elementary, Creekland Middle, and Collins Hill High School. During his summers Christopher would spend time in Bozeman, MT with his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncle, and many cousins. After graduating in 2002, he spent a few years studying film and photography at Montana State University before later transferring to Valdosta State University where he earned a B.S. in Psychology. Christopher would join the U.S. Army after graduation, promoting to the rank of Sergeant as an Animal Care Specialist. Upon discharge from the military, Christopher opened a coffee shop with his mother Laurie called Pete's Place in Buford, Ga. After a few years Christopher pivoted careers and went into logistics where he would later become an operations manager for Carvana.

Christopher, commonly known by his family as "Pete", enjoyed music and movies. Revered as "Full of Life" by some, Pete could fill a room with his passion for Rock and Roll and entertaining a crowd. He loved to dance and laugh and bring joy to those around. In addition to music, Christopher had a passion for history and enjoyed traveling abroad. He visited France, Mexico, The Bahamas, S. Korea, Germany, and Scotland in his short time with us. Uncle Pete would extend those same passions into caring for all his nieces and nephews. His love, charisma, goofy humor, and compassion for others will be greatly missed by all.

Christopher is survived by his parents, Laurie, and Billy Bellew; brother, Joshua Bellew; sister, Brittany Clester, Grandmother, Laura Shackleford, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 24th at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Cooper officiating. Please sign the guestbook online at www.meadowsfuneralhomeinc.com
