Connie Elizabeth (Deason) Brooks September 21, 1937 - December 20, 2022 Connie D Brooks, 85, died December 20, 2022, at home in Athens, Georgia. Connie was born September 21, 1937 in Pageland, South Carolina, the daughter of Drew Clifton Deason and Lula Elizabeth Deason. Connie graduated from Landis High School in Landis, NC Where she eventually met and married Austin Raymond Brooks on January 17, 1959. She was a full time Housewife and Mother plus provided Foster care for a total of 55 children from three different states. Connie was a member of The Church at Pierce Road. Connie spent 52 years working in the ministry with her husband Ray across Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 6 brothers: Ralph (died in WWII), Jimmy, Clarence, Johnny, J.W. and Loyd and daughter Toni Brooks Strickland. And Two great-grand daughters Jamie Elizabeth Paisley Anne Surviving in addition to her husband Austin Brooks, children: Terry Brooks,(Jolisa) Savannah Ga., Tommy Brooks(Jamie) Winder Ga., Dee Anna Simbro Athens, Ga., Glen Askeland(Becky) Waynesville, Mo., Son in law Larry Strickand of NC 11 Grandchildren: Emily, Megan, Jeremiah, Brook, Amber, Christina, Ben, Judy, Christian, Elizabeth, Kyle 18 Great Grand Children. 1 great great grand daughter Along with a multitude of nieces and nephews Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home Monroe, Georgia December 26, 2022 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Funeral Services will be held at Good Hope Christian Church Good Hope, Ga. December 27, 2022 2:00 pm. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS DONATION TO ST. MARY'S HOSPICE A POTLUCK FELLOWSHIP WILL FOLLOW AT THE GOOD HOPE CHURCH
