Geneva Casper Parr
OBITUARY
As much as my heart aches and I hurt for my family, I also feel such peace and joy for Bengie's Mom, Geneva Parr, who moved to heaven on Tuesday.
His brother, Travis, and I shared a beautiful moment with her that we'll never forget. I later had the sweetest conversation of our 35 year relationship. Just a few hours later she went to sleep and woke up with Jesus, Bennie, Bengie, and others who've gone on before her.
She told me she was ready and we talked about what would happen next and when she'd be well. We looked at a picture of Bengie and Queenie that made her smile and say "Bengie" and also the picture of the kids and me that was taken at the beach last month. She pointed to Nellie Jane and softly said "precious" and then moved her finger across all of us and repeated "precious" again.
She wanted to know if I could help her get her body back and help her breathe better. I squeezed her hand, smiled, and told her she would be absolutely perfect before too long.
And she is.
Please pray for our family as this is a very difficult time and the pain of the loss of Bengie 9 months ago is still fresh.
How I wish he was here to tell me this is all going to be ok and wrap his arms around us all. Instead, he's continuing to rejoice with Jesus and I can only imagine what it might have been like when he saw his completely healthy Mama come Home.
There will be a celebration of life in the near future and we'll share those details soon.
