OBITUARY

Miss Thelma Ruth Anderson was born on April 10, 1936 in Walton County Georgia. She passed from this life on September 1, 2024 at age 88. She was born in Social Circle, Georgia, as were her parents - the late Carey Wilson Anderson and the late Della Mae Roberts Anderson.

She was raised by her grandparents, both of Social Circle, the late Eunie Jane Roberts and the late William Sidney Roberts. She was one of five children and was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: the late Carey Wilson Anderson, Jr., the late Margaret Louise Anderson Haralson Bryant, the late Bennie Ray Anderson, Sr.

Over the years, she had many hobbies, including: playing high school basketball, golf, banking and was a card enthusiast. Surviving are sister: Mary Jean Anderson Barnes, sister-in-law: Mary Kate Lassiter Anderson; best friend: Judy Adams; nieces and nephews: Carol Patterson (Dale), Lee Anne Crawford, Andy Barnes (Regina), Peggy Allen, Bruce Bryant (Leann), Jane Bryant, Claire Treadwell (Tim).

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 2:00  pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Meadows Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home.
