OBITUARY

Virginia Elizabeth Burton Rowley, age 91 of Monroe, passed away on January 30, 2026. She was born on April 21, 1934 to the late Gordon Burton and the late Fanny Ramey Burton. 

Surviving are daughter, Ann Durden; Sons, Gordon Frank Hughes, Charles Dewitt Hughes and Kevin Marsden Rowley; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM at Meadows Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with The Rev. Alex Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Meadows Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
