OBITUARY

Mary Shropshire, age 69 of Monroe, passed away on May 8, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on November 30, 1956, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Harold Edward Harper and the late Sarah Eggleston Harper. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Estep, Ramona Jones, Gayle Johnson, Doris Harper, Patty Harper; brothers, Charlie "Cotton" Harper, and Sonny Harper. 

Mary is survived by her husband, Brian Shropshire; daughters, Alexis Shropshire and Sara Shropshire; sons, Ron Blankenship (Michelle), Jonathan Blankenship (Lisa); sister, Louise Heusser; brother, David Harper; and several grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Buster Brown officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
