OBITUARY

Mr. Billy Clarence Stapp, age 86 of Social Circle, passed away on June 16, 2026. Billy was born in Morgan County, Georgia on April 20, 1940 to the late Perry Coleman Stapp and the late Mable Claire Stapp.  

Mr. Stapp was pre-deceased by his parents and several siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Brenda Belle Stapp; daughter, Beth Waters (Ronnie); sons, Barry Stapp (Beth), Brad Stapp (Kelley); brother, Donald Stapp (Jeanette), twin sister Betty (Glenn) Griffith and Sue Moss; grandchildren, Kevin Rowe (Dottie), Whitney Cate (Devin), Matt Duncan (Katie), Ashley Morris (Logan), Autumn Jones (Josh), Keith Wages (Sarah), Coley Morris (Kody), Ethan Stapp (Catie); great grandchildren, Lance, Emma, Isabella, Landyn, Bryson, Fisher, Logan, Lydia, Judah, Millie, Bray, Declan, Mazie, Baby Wages. 

Mr. Stapp was a 47-year member and seven times Past Master of Dawson Lodge #68 F&AM.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Meadows Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on the same day at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Head officiating. Interment will follow at Social Circle City Cemetery.
