OBITUARY

Mr. David Eugene Braswell, II, age 59 of Monroe, passed away on June 16, 2026.  David was born on March 7, 1967 to the late David Braswell and the late Nan Cochran Braswell.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Chris Brooks. 

Mr. Braswell leaves behind his loving wife, Mandy Michelle Braswell; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Brandon Pyles; son and daughter-in-law, David and Crystal Braswell, III; sister, Alana Braswell; grandchildren, Bryce Plyes, Brooklyn Pyles, Bailey Pyles, Marlee Braswell, and Mia Braswell. 

David Braswell II lived a selfless life. Those who knew him knew that he considered himself blessed, and he was always looking for ways to help others. When he wasn't working, he spent his days hunting, fishing, or tinkering in his workshop. Because of this, he was known as the "Master of Duct Tape and Gorilla Glue". However, he always put his hobbies aside on game day. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs. Whether it was football or baseball, he was always cheering them on.

More than anything he loved his family. He was a great father and considered his grandchildren his pride and joy. Whenever you saw him, he had at least one of his grandchildren with him. David was also a very loyal man. He worked for the same company (Brown Oil) for 37 years and loved the same woman for 40 years.

Above all was his love for God. If you knew David, you know he is rejoicing in heaven today.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 2:30 at Greater Life Church.  Greater Life Church is located at 1857 Highway 78 in Monroe, Georgia.
