THE VETERAN'S CREED

I AM A VETERAN.

I HAVE SEEN AND DONE THINGS

THAT MANY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND.

I AM A WARRIOR AND A MEMBER OF A TEAM

SPANNING THE WORLD.

I HAVE SERVED MY COUNTRY PROUDLY

AND NOW STAND BY TO SERVE MY BROTHERS

AND SISTERS IN ARMS.

I WILL NEVER ACCEPT DEFEAT.

I WILL NEVER QUIT.

I WILL NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN BROTHER OR SISTER.

IF THEY ARE HURT, I WILL CARRY THEM.

IF I CAN'T CARRY THEM, I WILL DRAG THEM.

I WILL HELP THEM FACE THEIR ENEMIES,

TO INCLUDE THE DEMONS FROM WITHIN.

THEY ARE MY BROTHERS AND THEY ARE MY SISTERS.

I AM A VETERAN!

OBITUARY

In Honor and Love of William Lee Fisher

William "Bill" Lee Fisher, of Good Hope, Georgia, was born on March 13, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, and passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Lee Fisher and Maris Stella Fisher, and his brother, Paul Fisher. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 20 years, Jean Fisher; his loving children, Gary Scott Fisher, Christopher Lee Fisher, William Lee Fisher II, and Mary Anne Fisher; his adored grandchildren, Lauren, Brandon, Jace, Nathan, Ayden, Gray, and Ava; and his great-grandchildren, Hudson, Nash, Calton, Reece, and Tate. His step children Mark Harp and Victoria Wells.

Of all the accomplishments in Bill's remarkable life, nothing brought him greater pride than his family. His greatest joy was being a father and grandfather. He loved each of them immensely and treasured every moment they spent together.

Bill proudly retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant after 30 years of dedicated service in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his distinguished military career, he earned numerous medals and honors, including two Purple Hearts, a testament to his courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to his country. While he served with exceptional honor, above all, he was a devoted father who always put his children first.

Bill had an incredible gift for storytelling. His children and grandchildren could spend hours listening as he shared stories from his years of service, each one made unforgettable by his quick wit, charming humor, and larger-than-life personality. He had a way of making everyone laugh, and no family gathering was complete without one of his stories.

He loved nothing more than having his family together. Whether cheering on his favorite sports teams, watching old John Wayne movies, shouting at the television, tossing snacks across the room in excitement, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Bill made every moment memorable. His laughter was contagious, his spirit was generous, and his presence filled every room.

Bill will be remembered as a man of unwavering strength, honor, loyalty, integrity, and unconditional love. He leaves behind a legacy not only of faithful military service but also of a life well lived, a family deeply loved, and countless memories that will be treasured forever.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
