OBITUARY

Thomas Tyrone Carrell, Sr., age 82, of Monroe passed away on July 8, 2026 with his family by his side.  Tyrone was born on May 16, 1944 to the late Edmond David Carrell and the late Polly Jones Carrell.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Carrell. 

Surviving members of Mr. Carrell’s family is, his wife of 56 years, Clarise Carrell; daughter, Dr. Clair Carrell; son, Ty Carrell; brothers, Bobby Carrell (Gail) and Jake Carrell (Janie). 

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Meadows Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Monroe First Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Ware officiating.
