OBITUARY
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kenneth Damond Mobley, Jr., age 69, of Watkinsville on August 10, 2026. To his family and friends he was affectionately known as Kenny. Kenny was born on June 11, 1957 in Dayton Ohio, to Kenneth Damond Mobley, Sr. and Alberta Liming Mobley. Surviving are members of Mr. Mobley's family, his loving wife of 24 years Rebecca Mobley; children, Jennifer Mobley of Madison, GA; Laura Branon and husband Trey of Buckhead, GA; Ty Mobley of Watkinsville, GA; his parents Kenneth Mobley, Sr. and Alberta Mobley of Monroe, GA; his sister, Angela Mobley-Nicholson and husband James of Jeffersonville, GA; grandchildren Lexi Mobley, Brantley Ray, John Archie and Beau Branon.
Kenny loved life itself. He enjoyed telling stories, reminiscing about the past, cracking jokes, and sharing memories with anyone willing to listen. He had a love for music, nature, classic cars and trucks, and spending time with family and friends. Kenny’s greatest passion was music. He loved vinyl records and was always buying, selling, trading, and collecting them. During the last years of his life, he ran a booth at the J&J Flea Market, where he spent countless hours surrounded by the records and music he loved. Some of his favorites included The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Mötley Crüe, Saxon, Deep Purple, and many more. Kenny didn’t simply listen to music—he knew music. His ability to recall artists, albums, band members, dates, and stories was remarkable.
Above all, Kenny was a devoted son, brother, loving husband, loyal friend, and proud father who cherished his family deeply. He truly loved life and lived it to the fullest treasuring time spent together and especially loved sharing his stories, humor, music, and memories with everyone. Kenny leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
