Writing on behalf of my parents, Frank and Scottie Sherrill, I can say that they admired and respected Ann Peppers immensely. Working with Ann when she was City Clerk and later as City Manager, my father had limitless respect for her analytical abilities, her performance in all her municipal roles, and her kindness as a person. Both my parents believed Ann was a pioneer of her time -- she was wife and mother and simultaneously a skillful professional. For young women today, she should still be a model and inspiration. Ann was greatly loved by all, and she will be missed. Effie and I send our deepest sympathies to her family, some of who we've known since the '80s, for their loss of such
an incredible lady.
