OBITUARY

Delano Eugene “Gene” Coker,91, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-father, passed away on February 3, 2025.

 A lifelong resident of Campton, Georgia, he was born on July 24, 1933 to the late Mary Thompson Coker and the late John Coker. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Briscoe, Joyce Kennedy and Pat Waldrop, and brothers, Bob Coker and Roger Coker.

 Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Ann Coker; son, Mike (Amy) Coker; grandchildren, Gina (Nick) Massey, Meagan (Chris) Lee; great grandchildren, Lincoln Massey, Conley Massey, and Auggie Lee.

 Mr. Coker was a faithful member of Campton Church, proud veteran that served his county in the Navy, and a Masonic member for over 60 years. He loved his family and found joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 5th at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Murphy and the Rev. Tom Davis officiating. Pall Bearers will be Tim Coker, Butch Waldrop, Andy Coker, Drew Coker, Keith Waldrop, Todd Bunner, Scott Gleason, and Chris Lee.  Interment will follow at Campton Church Cemetery.
