OBITUARY

Anne Shepherd Peppers, 91, of Social Circle died Sunday August 17, 2025. She was born in Morgan County on June 21, 1934, to the late Eva Mae Malcom Shepherd and late James Lewis Shepherd.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charlie Peppers, survived by her two daughters Teresa Duval, of Social Circle, and Tammy Murphy of Social Circle, grandchildren Tera Duval Barton (Chad Barton) of Social Circle, Rion Duval (Jessica Duval) of Social Circle, Tori Murphy of Social Circle, Chad Murphy of Woodstock, and Great Grandchildren, JD Duval, Josie Carey, Savannah Kinney, Kailen Kinney, Dylan Kinney, & Colton Kinney, all of Social Circle.

Anne is a lifelong resident of Social Circle. She devoted her career to public service by serving and supporting Social Circle and Social Circle City Schools. She served on Social Circle City School Board of Education for many years. She worked as Social Circle City Clerk for 23 years and later served as a Social Circle City Council Member for 11 years. She is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Social Circle serving over 25 years. She loved her family, friends and her community very well.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Meadows Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home and interment will follow at Social Circle City Cemetery.
